Consultations with experts
Maintaining open communication channels and effective coordination with EJ CSOs, Palestinian state actors, academics, international organizations, and the donor community invested in improving the livelihoods of Palestinian EJ residents is paramount in order to achieve the project desired outputs and to maximize its impacts. To this end, the project team held an Advisory Group Meeting, four Focus Group Meetings, and several one-on-one meetings with EJ scholars, academics, and organizations concurrently implementing interventions in the sectors relevant to this project. Holding these meeting on an ongoing basis is important to:
Recognize parallel (recently completed and ongoing) interventions in EJ and minimize unnecessary duplication of effort.
Maximize complementarity and encourage collaboration between projects.
Define a concise list of indicators that allows for the evaluation and monitoring (E&M) of the status of the health, environment, education, tourism, housing and mobility conditions in EJ.
Identify and collected existing data sources and the data elements that need to be collected in the field necessary for both the calculation of the E&M indicators, and to guide informed participatory planning in the project intervention sectors.
The project team invites experts, academics, and any person or entity invested in improving the livelihoods of Palestinian EJ residents to contact the project coordinator (info@alquds.info) to provide feedback on the project, to coordinate interventions, and/or to join the project Advisory Group and the project focus groups.
