The Village Profile collected and represented using interactive 2D GIS essential information about all communities in the West Bank. It website allows full access to information about each community including historic documentation, archeology, population, education, health status, economic activities and location physical characteristics (soil, topography, and climate). Equally important is the identification, through a full participatory approach, of the communities’ needs and development priorities.
The project will enhance Palestinian Local Authorities’ and communities’ contribution to governance and development process in Area C, as a precondition for more equitable, open and democratic society by enabling participatory local governance among the targeted groups to promote inclusive development planning.
